The Zawiya-Sabil of Farag Ibn Barquq locates in Bawabet El-Metwalli Square next to Bab Zuwayla and in front of the Mosque of El Salih Talae . It was established by Farag Ibn Barquq who established another complex that still exist in a very good conditions and is regarded as a good example for the Mamluk style of decoration. The monument is distinguished by its outer panels that are decorated with polychrome stones. On the left from the entrance appears a small room with a beautiful wooden ceiling. The Sabil was usually established by the noble men at that time as a charity to provide the thirst passersby with cold water. The mosque was restored in 1923 and in 2003.
