Al-Ahrash protectorate is a glamorous destination which lies in the north-eastern part of Egypt in the city of Rafah and close to the Palestinian borders with Egypt. It is covered with dunes of sands with a height of sixty meters above sea level. The government aims at preserving the natural resources of the area, including soil, plants and water sources along with protecting mammals, reptiles and wild resident and migratory birds. In addition, it contains a variety of plants like the Acacia trees, Camphora trees, tomorx trees, bushes, herbs and a lot more which help in providing the soil with water and stabilizing the level of underground water. The area captures the attention of tourists by the diversity of its wildlife and the lovely natural scenes which creates a feeling of relief and comfort.
