The tomb of El-Hasawaty lies in Darb El-Bast near by El-Imam El-Shafey Square. It was constructed by El-Hasawaty in the reign of Sultan El-Hafiz Ledeen Allah, but there is no available information about him. There is only an assumption that he might be a relative of Ali Ibn Aby Taleb because of the appearance of some Inscriptions of the name of Ali on one of the pillars of the tomb. The mausoleum contains a beautiful wooden Mihrab handsomely decorated with stucco vestiges. It is few meters lower than the street level as an impact of the passage of time.
