The Sabil of Umm Abbas lies in Saliba Street behind the monument of Emir Shaykhu and one can clearly see it from the Citadel . It was established by the mother of Abbas II, who was a very charitable and kind member of the royal Family at that time to the extent that she was called Umm El-Muhsenin (mother of charitable people). The façade of the Sabil is handsomely decorated with flowers and leafy sprays. On the marble faces in the Sabil appear beautifully colored Quran inscriptions, signed by the Haram El-Sharif calligrapher, and other poetic inscriptions. On the right side of the monument appears a place that was used as a school and became the Center for Art and Life currently.
