This gold cosmetic container was discovered in the pyramidal complex of the pharaoh Sekhemkhet . It is shaped as a shell exactly like the one of king Djoser , his predecessor . It is regarded as a clear proof on the consummate skill of the ancient Egyptian goldsmiths since they managed to make use of all the element in their nature and imitate it in their art and produce marvelous pieces .
