This collar was discovered in the Tomb of Hatiaya , the scribe and superintendent of the granaries of the temple of Aten , in Abd El Qurna . It is made of brightly colored glass paste and gold leaf . The pectoral is highly admired for its monumental style and its frame with ornate geometric patterns . In the center of the pendant appears the scarab , symbol for Khepri the god of the morning rising sun , flaked with the djed pillar , symbol for stability , and the red tit , part of Isis body . Such items were ornamenting all the Pharaonic accessories that were serving as amulets for protecting the deceased and helping him in the under world .
