This refined mirror is one of the treasures that have been discovered in the Tomb of Sathathoriunet , daughter of Senusret II . It is a perfect example for the consummate skill of jewelers of the Middle Kingdom . It consists of a circular silver and obsidian reflective surface that is formed as a papyrus stem . This surface is fixed on a handle in the shape of Hathor (the goddess of joy and love) with the ears of cows .
