Abu Rawash is a city of great history and bright future that locates about 8 km northward Giza City. It is one of the important archeological sites in Giza Plateau that encloses a large number of the Memphite Necropolis. It was used as a necropolis since the reign of Aha in the First Dynasty and on top of the tombs found there is the Mortuary Complex of Djedefre and the Pyramid of Djed-Ef-Ra .
The name Abu Rawash is mainly the name of a neighboring small village. Nowadays, Abu Rawwash is regarded as one of the important new industrial zones in Egypt that encloses a large number of factories and companies. The government pays a great attention for providing the area with all essential services and means of transportation for encouraging businessmen for investing their capital there.
