These four bracelets were discovered among the other small objects in the tomb of Djer , one of the first pharaohs of the Thinite Dynasty . One of these bracelets was discovered in a mummified arm kept in a crack in the wall of the tomb . This arm was cut during the savage theft processes that the tomb suffered . These four bracelets are regarded as good examples for the pharaonic designs for accessories and jewels .

The falcon-shaped bracelet is made of gold and turquoise plaques . It portrays the god-falcon Horus standing on the serekh , royal stand , and some hieroglyphic inscription indicating the Horus name of the king that identifies him with god . The other bracelets are made of gold and other precious stones including turquoise , amethyst , and lapis lazuli beads .
