This clay tablet is one of the numerous priceless pieces that played a great role in revealing numerous secrets about ancient Egyptian civilization and style of life . These tablets led to the discovery of the city founded by the reforming king almost halfway between Memphis and Thebes . They were usually written in Accadian and contained diplomatic correspondence in both cuneiform writing and the Accadian language that was kept in the archive of the palace in the city of Akhetaten or Tell El Amarna today . The information provided by the tablets helped in indicating the relationships between the great and small powers of the time and the prevailing policies as well .

This tablet indicates the request of Amenhotep III from the Babylonian king to take a Babylonian princess as his wife , and the reply on that request . The king's reply was somehow specious and he accuses the pharaoh with sending few gifts and behaving in an unfriendly way towards the king of Babylon .
