The Tomb of Qunsuwa Abu Said locates in El-Sultan Ahmed Street few meters away from El-Azhar Street. This mausoleum was erected by Qunsuwa Abu Said who attained the grade of Dawadar in the reign of Sultan Qaytbay and then the protector of Qaytbay's successor in a very short period. He occupied the position of the Sultan of Egypt for a year and then he was exiled to Alexandria. This tomb was a part if a larger complex that collapsed by the passage of time. Yet it is still admired for the Mamluk style of decoration and design of the interior plan. This domed tomb is also worth admiration for the triple arrow and the triangular-shaped supports that beautify the lower base of the dome.
