The First Intermediate Period
The Papyrus of Ipu-wer described the conditions of Egypt accurately at the end of the Sixth Dynasty. The central authority disintegrated and large numbers of Bedouins from the east attacked the country, started to plunder people and spread fear. This all eventually led to an upheaval that left everything deteriorated.
