Aswan And Nubia


Aswan is the one of the major governorates in Upper Egypt and one of the prominent tourist attractions all over the world. It has a great history that dates back to the Pharaonic period when it was known as Swenet of "Trade". It is bordered with the Red Sea Governorate from the east, New Valley from the west, Qena from the north, and Sudan from the south.The governorate covers about 34,608 km² and comprises by a number of small cities and localities including Daraw, Edfu, Nasr Elnoba, and Komombo. The government provides a wide range of facilities and services for the inhabitants of Aswan to make it one of the civilized cities in the world. So that there are numerous hospitals of highly qualified stuff and advanced technology, public and private schools, and universities for raising the rate of educated people. Aswan governorate can be reached easily by air since it has the International Airport of Aswan and Abu Simbel Airport.

Additionally, tourists who prefer beginning their journey from Cairo and then moving to Aswan can use train, bus or super jet for traveling to Aswan. The capital of the governorate is Aswan City that encloses a large number of tourist sights such as the Nubian Museum, Monastery of Anba Samaan, Nobles tombs and many other monuments that date to various eras.In addition to that there is a great number of hotels and apartments with all amenities and facilities for tourists in Aswan at good prices. All these factors make Aswan City and Aswan governorate as a whole one of the most visited places in Egypt for the full range of facilities presented for the tourist and the good weather.
