Mari Mina

Mar Mina lies about 65 Km east of Alexandria. The history of this place dates back to the 4th century, when Saint Mina was killed during the period of Emperor Diocletian. For that reason, it is one of the most visited sites preferred by Egyptian Christians. It houses a monastery built in the Roman style, two other small churches as well as other buildings of significant archaeological value.
