The Egyptian Opera House in El Doki is the main center for hosting the most talented musical groups and all men of art and literature in Egypt. It was inaugurated in October 2008, and is highly admired for its architectural style that mixes between the Islamic and Japanese styles.
The building is highly equipped with state-of-art audio-visual system and comprises of numerous halls some of them used for performing opera and ballet shows and others for training and rehearsals. The main closed hall in the opera house is supplied with about 1200 seat, while the secondary closed hall can host about 500 people only and is usually dedicated to hosting festivals and conferences. There is also an open hall in the Opera House with about 1000 seats in addition to the museum where a large number of fascinating pieces of art are displayed.
