The Remains of the Sabil-Kuttab of Yusuf Bey locates in El Saliba Street next to Mausoleum, Khanqah and Madrasa of Salar and Sangar El-Gawli . It was established by Yusuf Bey, one of the noblemen in the Ottoman period who were establishing such constructions to immortalize there name, and as a kind of charity. The Sabil is usually a finely decorated building enclosing a Salasabil that provide the thirst passersby with cold water. The Kuttab on the other hand was a place where students study the Quran and Prophet instructions. The building is half ruined now, it is worth visiting for the beautiful wooden works ornamenting its facade and other features of Islamic architecture.
