The Sabil-Kuttab of Ahmad Pasha lies in El Muiz Le Din Allah Street in front of the Mosque of El Hussein . This Sabil that dates back to the dynasty of Mohammed Ali is admired for its concave façade and its grilled windows. The Sabil was usually erected as a means for providing the thirst passersby with cold water. Next to the Sabil stands the Kuttab, a place for studying Quran and prophetic instructions. It is worth visiting for its handsomely decorated panels supporting the ceiling, its curved ceiling that is sided by an attractive clock base. This complex was recently renovated and re-gilded.
