Itinerary

Day 1Bird Watching Tour in Aswan

In the morning we will pickup transfers from your hotel or cruise in Aswan by expert Bird Guide to cruise the Nile from the East Bank to the West Bank with traditional tourist felucca sailing boats at the dockside in Aswan. Make stops at Kitchener’s Island, the island was given to Lord Kitchener as a gratitude for his services in the Sudan Campaign (1896-1898). Kitchener transformed the small island into a paradise of exotic trees and plants, and carefully planned walkways. The Botanic Island is the second in the river, in the area of Aswan, after the Elephantine Island. It is now a public park that can be reached by motorboats. The island is a paradise of exotic trees, many from India, and plants in gardens as Hibiscus, poinciana, acacia trees , bougainvillea , lantana , flowers, shrubs and mimosa all blooming in radiant colours with view walkways. Sailing on the Nile River towards the Mausoleum of the Aga Khan , is the mausoleum of Aga Khan III and was built in the style of the Fatimid tombs in Cairo. You will watch many more bird species wading in the waters of the Cataract Islands such as Striated Herons , Night Herons, Kingfishers, Malachite Kingfishers, , Little Bitten Herons, Nile Valley Sunbirds, along with Little Green Bee Eaters. At the end of your tour you return to your hotel or cruise in Aswan . This is how our services end.
