Tomb of Pentu

Pentu was one of the important figures in the New Kingdom who held many titles including the Royal Scribe, the Physician and the Chief Servitor. Like most of the tombs of Tel El Amarna especially the Tomb of Ahmos, the walls of the tomb are ornamented with depictions for the owner of the tomb while receiving golden collars as a reward from the king. Though seriously damaged, his tomb still has some Greek graffiti and traces of depictions of the Royal Family visiting the Temple of Aten and of freight ships. Many parts of the wall paintings of the tomb are in a ruinous state, the burial shaft room is undecorated and the statue of Pentu that was once placed in the burial chamber disappeared currently.
