Hathor
is a mother goddess who protected women and children . She was the goddess of the sky who nursed god Horus . Her name means 'Mansion of Horus . ' The goddess of love and music , Hathor is shown in depiction as a cow , often wearing a headdress of horns bearing the solar disc . Her amulet was usually placed on the chest in the row of gods .
