The Sabil of Ismail Pasha situates in El-Mashhad El-Husseiny Street off El Muiz Le Din Allah Street nearby the Complex of Sultan El-Nasir . This Sabil or cold water fountain was established by Ismail Pasha who was the youngest son of Mohammad Ali celebrating his first marriage. The Sabil appears as a one-story building on the side if the street and its windows are handsomely ornamented with the official Seal of Sultan Mahmoud II or the Tughra and also with handsome iron grills. Of special interest in this Sabil are the wooden work in the beamed ceiling, and the round front of it. There is a Kuttab next to the Sabil and it was dedicated to studying Quran and prophetic instructions.
