The Sabil-Kuttab of Radwan Bey El-Razzaz lies in one of the extensions of Sidi Uqba Street nearby El-Imam El Shafey Square . It was established by Radwan Agha who was one of the noble men in the Ottoman period as a kind of charity. The Kuttab was a place for studying Quran and Prophetic instructions, while the Sabil was usually erected for providing the thirst passersby with cold water. Of special note in the Kuttab is the wooden roofed loggia with its beautiful geometric patterns. Behind the Kuttab, there is a courtyard through which one can enter the Sabil. The façade of this Sabil is handsomely ornamented with paintings of tiles, rosettes and some geometric shapes.
