The Sacraments

The Coptic Church recognizes Seven Sacraments: Baptism Chrismation (Confirmation) , Holy Eucharist , Penance , Holy Orders , Matrimony and Unction of the sick .
The Church professes that in the Holy Eucharist , the elements of bread and wine are transubstantiated , at the Consecration , into the very Body and Blood of Jesus Christ . The Church venerates , above all , the Saints and the Virgin Mary .
