This is one of the dipictions of Akhenaten that represents him holding one of his daughters on his knee , perhaps the first-born Meritaten . The unfinished statue portrays the pharaoh wearing short-sleeved tunic and the blue crown , while the girl wears an ill-defined wig and has her head turned affectionately towards the pharaoh . This statue reflects one of the main features of Amarna sculpture which is portraying the royal family members in scenes of everyday life rather than in an ideal image since this statue presents a moment of common love that was not regarded formerly suitable for royal dignity .
