This rigid gold vase was discovered in Tell Basta during the works of stretching the Railway of Tell Basta . This area was site of the Temple of Goddess Bastet who is depicted on the walls of the temples as a woman with cat head . It is one of the offerings that were presented to the goddess .

The neck of the vase is adorned with three attractive frieze registers: the first is a row of lance-shaped leaves; the second as heart-shaped drops; the third with floral paintings . The handle of the vase is shaped as a moving circle fixed at the topmost part , while the domed part is decorated with semi-circle shaped garland of lotus leaves flanked with two birds with spread wings .
