This small diadem was found among numerous other treasures placed in anonymous tomb in the Valley of the Kings . It is assumed that this tomb was used by thieves as a store for the treasure they usurp from the royal tombs .

This diadem is shaped as a small ring adorned with sixteen flower with petals carrying the name of King Sety II and his wife Queen Tausert . It is assumed that this crown was dedicated to the young deceased princess of the pharaoh whose small coffin was found in that tomb .

This diadem with its floral ornaments is designed on the typical style of the New Kingdom and was usually placed over the wig of the women .
