Necklace with fly-shaped pendant was usually presented by the pharaoh to the brave soldiers of the army after the victory over their enemies as a reward . This necklace was presented to Queen Ahhotep by her sons Ahmes and Kames as a reward for her great role in their war against the hyksos . It was discovered in her tomb among many other treasures and accessories that highlight the attractive styles and designs of gold works during the New Kingdom . The fly-shaped pendent is finely carved with cleverly molded wings and chased bodies . It is hanged down from the necklace and the counter poise of it appears as a small ring fixed between the protruding eyes .
