Shebin El Kom is the capital of El Menoufia Governorate located in the center with Tala City from the north, Berket El Sabea from the south, Sers El Laian and Menouf from the east and El Shohada City from the west. As the capital of the governorate, it encloses a large number of administrative institutes such as Shebin El Kom Council Building, El Gomhoreya Stadium, and El Menoufeya University. The city encloses many worth visiting places including Khalil Pasha El Gazzar palace, and El Abbasy Mosque. The major economic resources for the city are administrative works and industry.
