Sers El Laian is one of the major cities in El Menoufeya Governorate located between Menouf and El Bagour cities. It locates about 60km away from Cairo and about 20 km away from Shebin El Kom city. It encloses a wide range of agricultural lands and is famous for some traditional crops such as wheat, rice and cotton in addition to some vegetables like cucumber and this is the reason for calling it in that name which means center of planting cucumber.
