Ruins of Madinat Demeyet El Sebaa

The archeological site of the ancient Greek village of Madinet Demyet El Sebaa (Dimiat El Sabaa) is situated 3 kilometers far from Lake Qaroun. It was once used as a station for trade caravans heading to the south of the country or going towards the Oasis of the Western Desert. It has some remains of Greek constructions such as the ruins of a small temple built of stone. Still extant are traces of the ancient village's walls and roads.
