The Mosque and Madrasa of El-Ayni lies in El-Sheikh Mohamed Abdu Street few meters away from the Hod of Qaytbay. This complex appears now as a simply designed and decorated mausoleum that date back to the early 15th century. It was constructed by the famous Hanafi Scholar Muhammad Badr El-Din El-Ayntabi who was the consultant of sultan Barquq, Sultan El-Muayyad Shaykh, and Sultan Barsbay. He occupied a great position until the death of Sultan Barsbay and he died in 1451.
