Mit Salsil is one of the cities in the southeast of El Dakahlia Governorate. It is bordered by a number of major cities in the governorate and is known as the city of education due to the high rate of educated people in it. The city comprises of a number of small villages and contains a vast green lands and this makes agriculture the main source of income for it. El Masjed El Kabir or the Great Mosque is one of the major tourist places in Mit Salil. The city is supplied with all necessary services and facilities of means of transportation, education, and health care services.
