El Manzala is one of the main administrative centers in in El Dakahlia Governorate in the southeast of Egypt. It covers about 346 km² and comprises of a number of smaller lakes such as Ibn Salam Lake that is one of the most visited lakes for enclosing the mausoleum of some religious figures. El Manzala Lake is a preferable destination for those who are interested in bird watching since various species of immigrant birds can be found there. In addition to that Fishing is one of the activities that can be practiced in El Manzala that is famous for its richness of fish wealth. It is a city of a great history since its inhabitants played a great role in combating the French occupation.
