This fragment was discovered in Tell El Amarna and was used as a paving for the south palace in that area . the fragment encloses some paintings for wild ducks in the marshes and some papyrus and aquatic plants painted in bright and harmonious colors . The use of papyrus and aquatic plants symbolizes the first forms of life in Egypt and the victory of over death and forces of evil in the hereafter and there are numerous examples for these paintings on the walls of the tombs of ancient Egypt .
