This limestone ostrakon (fragment) was found in the Tomb of Ramesses VI , in the Valley of the Kings in
Luxor
. It is decorated on both sides with drawings . The front side is decorated with a scene of two men dressed in military uniform and involved in a fighting show . This is evidenced by the way each of them grasps the other by the throat . Also the great deal of accuracy paid in depicting the backward movement of the fighters' hair attest the strength of the running fight . From the first glance , the paintings seem to be made by a young artist exercising drawing . This is attested by the drawing being first outlined in red then sketched over in black . It is probable that a tutor had made a few corrections to the scene to make it more realistically portrayed . The fragment's other side is ornamented with a painting of a scene of two mice; one bites a fruit grasped in its paws , the other is distinguished with its bristling fur .
