Queen Meritamun is the fourth daughter of Rameses II and Queen Nefertari . After the death of her mother , Meritamun held the title of the Great Royal Wife and served as priestess of the goddess Hathor .

This bust portrays the queen in the typical way of the Amarna art with round small smiling face , almond-shaped eye , and small and slender nose . The head is covered with three-part wig with small locks leaving her ears emerging topped with a white crown with uraeus serpent and solar disk on the forehead as a sign for royalty . The queen is wearing a beautiful necklace and finely carved bracelet and holding a small statue for Hathor in her hand .
