this relief was discovered in Tell El Amarna and is regarded as a perfect example for the private sculpture and its liberty from the restricting rules of the royal art . This freedom of artistic expression allowed the artists to depict the deceased whether from the royal family of not , practicing everyday life activities including eating departing from the tradition of presenting the royal family in an ideal and perfect image . This justifies the appearance of numerous funeral meals and scenes of joy on the walls of the tombs of that period .
This relief for example presents a naked girl with long hair and swollen belly which indicate that she was a princss from the royal family while perhaps biting into a roast duck . Portraying a member of the royal family busy eating is a sign for the revolution against the standards of the sacred art .
