Atfih (Atfeeh , Atfeyh) is one of the administrative centers of
Giza Governorate
on the western bank of the Nile opposit to El Ayyat Center . It is a city of a great history that was occupying a great history during the Ancient
Egypt
and in the
Mamluk
Period . The city suffered a lot from floods that destroyed the major part of it and this made its importance decrease especially under the rule of Mohamed Ali .
